Cooking oil might be useful, but it is extremely stubborn when it lands on your floor or your favorite shirt. And greasy foods may be delicious, but a few drips on your clothing might ruin your meal. We have some useful tips and tricks to remove cooking oil or grease stains from clothes.

Speed is essential: Whether it is in the kitchen or the garage, oil has an annoying habit of making its way to unwanted places in addition to its intended area of use. If you want to prevent ugly stains from reminding you of your mishap in the future, speed is of the essence. As soon as oil drips or smears appear, you should waste no time in removing grease stains. The fresher the mark, the easier it is to remove grease stains from clothing.

Removing grease stains from clothes

Especially when it comes to your clothes, speed is everything. Once the stain has soaked deep into the fibers of your favorite sweater or comfy jeans, it is going to be difficult to remove. You will have the best chance to remove grease stains if you follow the steps below:

  1. Blot: First, gently blot the stain. This will remove some of it. Use either a cloth or a paper towel to blot.
  2. Use stain remover: After blotting, spray the stain remover spray onto the dry stain from a few inches away. You can be generous and soak the stain completely.
  3. Wash in the washing machine: Now put the garment in the washing machine and wash it according to the instructions on the label. Again, take as little time as possible and turn the washing machine on immediately. Use all® OXI Liquid Laundry Detergent , which fights all kind of stains including oil.
  4. Check the garment afterward and repeat the steps if necessary.

These steps should remove the cooking oil or grease stains from your clothing. If the stain proves to be particularly stubborn, you can repeat the process again for good measure.
