Remove mould from white fabric

If you need to remove mould from white clothing, then sources recommend using bleach to get the job done. Make sure that you’re wearing gloves before you begin. Mix up a bleach solution of one part bleach and three parts water. Immerse the garment in the solution and allow it to sit for a few minutes. This is said to not only get rid of the mold but also of the mold smell that comes with it. Read the care label first to ensure that the item of clothing can withstand being soaked in bleach. After that you can go ahead and wash the clothing items in the washing machine.

Remove mould from fabric with a home remedy

If you don’t want to use bleach, then online sources claim that a mixture of vinegar and baking powder also remove mould stains from your clothing. Pre-treat your clothes with a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda. Add this to a spray bottle and spray it on any mould stains you want to remove. Make sure to check if the item of clothing can handle the solution on an inconspicuous place on the garment and steer clear of using this method on delicate fabrics such as silk. After letting the solution work at the stain for a while, rinse the garment thoroughly in warm water before washing it as you normally would.
